The purpose of this Project is to create a soap making/selling business for eight unmarried women who were born and raised in Kisenyi slum in Kampala. (These women have been lifelong friends and amongst them, care for 54 children.) Desana has been providing financial assistance through scholarships, medical care and clothing. The goal is give these women the opportunity to improve their lives and self esteem by supporting themselves and their children through hard work, thus attaining self sufficiency.
